Research Poster Located in the Neighborhood Engagement Centers
Research Summary:
Destiny's research aims to reduce the overuse of emergency services for non-urgent sexual health issues by enhancing community access to resources and education. Analyzing data from over 20,000 patients at multiple emergency departments, the study focused on 523 individuals who sought care for sexual health concerns. Using R-Studio and Excel, the research found that targeted reeducation can significantly improve patients' understanding of appropriate healthcare options. The results highlight the need for better resource allocation and patient education to optimize emergency service use and enhance overall health outcomes.
