Ignite Talks MSU
1 idea. 5 minutes. 20 slides that auto-advance.
Can you do it?
The MSU Museum CoLab Studio is looking for ten passionate MSU students to each give an ignite talk on their research. Ignite Talks are a creative way to communicate your idea in 5 minutes flat, using only 20 slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds. The first Ignite event was held in San Francisco in 2006, and it has since spread to over 350 cities across 6 continents. Ignite Talks MSU is the only chapter currently in Michigan. We want speakers who will inspire connection with the audience as they have fun learning something new.
You can be any type or level of student, doing a project in any field of research. Previous public speaking or stage experience is not required! All selected speakers will participate in a research communication workshop prior to the big day, to help them hone their story to really ignite the audience. Submit your talk idea here- the speaker open-call closes September 18th. We can't wait to be delighted and inspired by the ideas, passion, and knowledge here at MSU!
